Buzzard's Bay Regatta Resources
BBR is held at Beverly Yacht Club (Marion, MA) every other year, and at the New Bedford Yacht Club (New Bedford, MA) on alternate years. The chair role is a two-year term, first year as vice chair when it is at New Bedford, and then preparation starts 12-14 months in advance of the event at BYC. 450+ boats, 1200 plus sailors – big event, all volunteer run. These documents were developed over time but really came together in the early 2000’s, and are tweaked each year. Due to different venues, parts of the documents are tailored toward the BYC infrastructure.
